Energy Coiled

grandchildren like to jump –
with basketballs and volleyballs,
into waves and over hills on
bikes, into the air they go –
jumping off swings, branches, logs,
laying up and springing up to
catch the fly ball, jumping with joy,
energy coiled, muscles ready for fun

De Jackson here, aka WhimsyGizmo. And it is indeed time once again for my personal fave of all the prompts, the Quadrille. As most of you know, this is a little invention of our own making here at dVerse, when we pen poems of precisely 44 words, including one word we provide.

Let’s jump right in.

Today, I want you to jumpstart your muse by infusing your poem with some form of the word jump.
