the day I long for –
end of another long week –
but weekends whiz by,
Wait! I didn’t get that done,
and it’s Monday once again
Friday far away.

Colleen Chesebro’s challenge: The bussokuseki (bussokusekika) is an ancient form of waka (tanka). This form is like a tanka, but there is an extra seven syllable line at the end of the form. Choose your theme and have fun!
Oh do familiar Lisa – expertly crafted 😃

Thank you, Paul. I’m sorry you can relate! I bet you can also remember being young and having summers that lasted a year?
