    1. When my oldest son was about 13, I was working as a real estate paralegal at a local law firm. There was a man in our town in the 1800’s whose first name was Ransom who was a very great landowner and his name appeared in many deeds and title work. I came home one night and mentioned the name, how beautiful and unusual it was. My son never forgot it, and always said he would name his firstborn son Ransom. And he did.
