My
mother,
beautiful
mother of mine,
her arms – a safe place
her voice – a lullaby,
her love still reaches me from
beyond this life to strengthen and heal –
my mother, beautiful mother of mine.

- Line 3: 3 syllables
- Line 4: 4 syllables
- Line 5: 5 syllables
