I miss
the way you smell
your strong arms around me
the way you teased without mercy
you knew
it all
every flaw yet you called me brave
beautiful and yours, death
could not defeat
our love

I have written a mirror cinquain in response to Cinquain Poetry Prompt 34, where our inspiration is the word DEFEAT

Death never (can’t) cancel true love. Great mirror cinq! (I mirrored this week too), and perfect choice of photo. Thanks
