The world becomes
a different place,
each blade of grass a miracle,
the shade of the porch is divine,
a drive in the countryside is glorious,
the trees so tall,
the food tastes delicious and
iced lemonade just sweet-tart perfection,
and even my sister’s smile is beautiful
because nothing is the same now,
now that I’m in love.
