At my age, not a lot of things give me energy. Believe it or not, age can make energy scarce. If you’re under 65, just wait – you’ll see.
The first and probably most vital thing that gives me energy is coffee. I have to drink two cups every morning in order to stay awake and be at my best.
A shower gives me energy. I am not one of those people who can take a shower and fall fast asleep at night. A shower wakes up my senses, and that energizes me.
A great night’s sleep gives me energy. I don’t usually sleep well, so I don’t usually get the benefit from this.
Being around other people whose company I enjoy gives me energy. If I am having a wonderful time, I don’t want that time to end.
I think that may be it for me. If WP asks what things make me tired, I could write a book!
That is the same number of cups I drink, and it is just enough to get me day going. And yes, I am over 65 so I understand what you are saying but meditation does help with my energy level.

Surprisingly, a hot shower makes me sleepy if I take it at nighttime.
