I eavesdropped on my young grandchildren and heard something sweet. They were staying the weekend at my house, and I heard them talking at the back door.

“I love it here,” my grandson said.

“I wish we lived here,” my granddaughter said, and then I was delighted to hear them talk about what life would be like if we all lived in my house together. It sounded like fun to me, too.

My dream, but their parents’ nightmare, I’m sure!
