What Do You See?

Sadje has given us two picture prompts to inspire us on this weeks “What Do You See?” I have tried to write a poem for each picture.

WHITE BENCH

White bench by the greenhouse
always calls ‘come sit’ to him
it seemed so very familiar
but he didn’t know how or when
his mind left a long time ago
wandered away and is gone
now he haunts his old haunts with benches white
and wonders what is wrong

This image shows the view of a white wooden bench through a fog stained window. There are trees and green grass behind the bench. There is evidence of rain!

SPLASH

up and down, splatter
sound of heels hitting puddle
then tremendous splash
cause and effect so much fun
laughter, foam and mud all fly

This image shows a young child, probably a girl wearing an army green jacket and black pants, jumping in a puddle of water by the roadside. There is a big grin of joy on his/ her face.
