I have never met a fish
for it’s domain could be outer space
we cannot breathe in each other’s world
if we could talk, what would
the conversation hold
would I be astonished by the wisdom
it has attained in a silent, vibrant world

I wonder too. They tell us they don’t have feelings, but throughout our history they have said the same thing about whole races of people….
