I ran down the hall, threw open the door and walked up to him, in front of his whole class.
“I heard you’re leaving and I know it’s all my fault, but please, you’ve got to let me explain.”
His face was expressionless, but he grabbed arm and pulled me out into the hallway, saying, “I’ll give you one minute.”
“I know what you saw looked bad, but he was kissing me, it wasn’t me kissing him, and I would never, because since I met you I’ve realized there is no life without you, not for me, because I love you. If you leave me, I swear, I’ll just die, so, please, please just believe me and please don’t leave.”
He stood staring at me for a second, then said, “Don’t worry, I won’t leave you because I love you, too,” and he wrapped his arms around me.
