As quiet as the sunrise
Your love glows for me,
Gentle fingers of warmth and light
Reach for me, pull me
From the darkness. Your eyes
Are the morning stars,
They say, I am here,
I will always find you,
Faithful as the sun.

Written in response to the host of QUADRILLE MONDAY, Lillian, at dVerse
Write a quadrille (a poem of EXACTLY 44 words, not including the title) AND include the word “sunrise” or a form of the word within the body of the poem. A synonym for “sunrise” does not fulfill the prompt. It must be the word, or a form of the word. IE sunrisings would be okay.
Lovely poem about the stability of love. Gentle. Quiet. Faithful.

I love that opening line, that love can be quiet and like a sunrise, this really underpins your direction with this – the real power, strength of love is there.

Lisa, “gentle fingers of warmth and light / reach for me, pull me / from the darkness” feels especially moving to me. I sense such tender reassurance in these lines.
