I guess when I think of my bed, I actually think of the mattress, covers, and pillows, not the actual bed frame.
My memory foam mattress wasn’t expensive, but it is so comfortable that I find it difficult to leave its cozy embrace in the mornings. To make getting up even tougher, I have a thick, fluffy blanket with sherpa on one side that is warm and comforting and covers me in softness.
Since my husband passed, it seems my need for sleep has increased and I have to talk myself into waking up. To encourage myself to get up I have a picture with words I created that I see when my alarm goes off, and have included it here.
Get up, life is waiting.

PROMPT WORD: BED
It is hard to get out of a comfy bed! But life is waiting. Get out there, your bed will also wait for you, after a day of new adventures.

I am a bed girl too! I love my bed, and often relax in it to watch a movie or something else suitable, just to luxuriate in its comfort.

Me, too. ☺️ I have a couple of notes on the bathroom mirror, too. I need all the help I can get!

I’m torn. Yes, life is waiting. Lack of sleep is hard on us, or at least, hard on me, and I am suffering its lack keenly these days.

I am so sorry to hear this. Lack of sleep is worse than sleeping too much.

I have a memory foam mattress also and while I don’t have a fluffy blanket with Sherpa on one side, I do have a weighted blanket. Sometimes it’s very difficult getting up in the morning! Having a visual aid in addition to your alarm is a terrific idea, Lisa. Whatever it takes, because yes, Life is absolutely waiting.
