My youngest son is mostly bald, so he shaves his head so the remaining hair is like a shadow. He’s very handsome. He was a television anchor for the news on WLFI in Lafayette for a few years, until Allen Media decided that they needed to cut the majority of jobs at all of the stations they own. Thankfully, my youngest, Joseph, found another job before his got chopped on the block.
Joseph is blessed to have a wonderful daughter. She is so much fun to be around, and she is witty and outspoken. When she turned eight, she discovered that she could really get under her father’s skin. If they were teasing each other, doing a back and forth, she could always shut it down by saying, “Well, you’re bald.” If I were present during this exchange, I would interject, “No, he’s not! He’s only a little bald.” That would send my granddaughter into a fit of giggles, and my son would blush. Pretty soon, I learned to stay out of it.
While I am certain that men do not enjoy losing their hair, it certainly doesn’t hinder their good looks. A bald man can still be a very handsome man. My husband was, and my son is, too.
