Sharing the Truth that brings Life

I have learned that I need to share the love of God and the gospel of Christ. I am an old lady, and you would think that I would have learned this by now, but it’s finally sinking in.

I have always been ready to tell anyone about my faith, if they asked. But my preacher has been speaking to us about trying to witness to others. If the opportunity arises, we should seize it. You can’t preach at people, you can’t make them feel less. The whole point of the Gospel is that God loves us and he finds us Worthy. Jesus found us worthy and proved it by what he did on the cross. We are worthy ambassadors of God. Even though we’re not worthy, not at all. But God trusts us that much. And we are worthy, because of what Jesus did. And the most incredible thing is that we will literally share in the reward that Jesus will have in heaven, and we are called God’s children. We could never earn that in a million years of doing what we think is right, but by believing that Jesus did it all for us, we can have it for free.
