What does “having it all” mean to you? Is it attainable?

The phrase “having it all” means a 100 different things to a 100 different people. The people that struggle to make ends meet, to buy food and afford childcare live in a different world than the millionaire CEO. And that won’t change because the people with great wealth are happy to keep taking from the people who are struggling.

Greed and the grave are never satisfied.

But WP asks only what it means to me. “Having it all” means having enough, with some left to save and some to share.

This question actually makes me quite emotional this morning because almost everyone I know is working hard at decent jobs, may even have some side hustles, but they are afraid. They ask, if things get much worse, how will they afford car repairs or college tuition, or mortgage payments, or childcare, or enough food? Because they are really struggling right now to pay for those types of “extras” and still pay the bills.

For most of us, having it all is a concept of the past, when eggs didn’t cost $5 while the minimum wage in my state is $7.25 an hour.
