Lulu had a craft room filled with items that interested her. It was her retreat, her happy place. She dabbled in many hobbies, so she had yarn, knitting needles, a sewing machine, easels, paints, a camera, and various crafting items. Sometimes her hobbies turned into income producing jobs. Her latest could-be job was an opportunity her friend, Midge, had told her about.
Midge was an old friend and a good one. Midge knew that Lulu was struggling for money, and that Lulu was very creative. Midge had recently landed a job at Mattel in the advertising department. They were looking for someone to pose toys, and take pictures of them, use software to make the pictures perfect, and sell them to Mattel to be used in their advertising. Lulu was very excited because the toys they wanted photographed were Barbie and Ken.
Lulu had received the dolls today, along with some accessories, clothes and props. She examined everything and decided on her set. They would be on a picnic. Lulu wasn’t sure if Barbie would eat pizza and McDonald’s on a picnic, but why not? She spent all day posing the dolls and props, taking pictures inside with a backdrop and outside in the sunshine. As she downloaded the pictures onto her computer, she was ecstatic at the results.
Lulu cooked dinner and laid a table for three. She sat Barbie and Ken beside their plates, giving them a tiny portion of food each. “Okay, I’m officially crazy,” she said, chuckling. She raised her glass to the iconic pair who she hoped would return good fortune to her. “Here’s to having fun,” she said.

For the visually challenged reader, this image shows Barbie lying on a picnic blanket looking through a magazine and Ken standing next to her with a bag from McDonald’s. There is a pizza box lying next to her too. In the background, you can see a lush green lawn, trees, and a blue sky!
