Shining moon
shining light
light so golden
light so pure
pure enchantment glows
pure beauty wraps
wraps my heart with warmth
wraps the night with mystery
mystery seeks truth
mystery cloaks sadness
sadness skitters away
sadness hides in shadows
shadows envelope us
shadows lead us home
home is with you
home is my desire
desire in my heart
desire to find happiness
happiness is found
happiness follows
follows me on the road
follows me in the woods
woods green and wild
woods that call
call me to come
call to me to run
run recklessly
run on the path
path leading down
path winding
winding long
winding around
around a creek
around a field
field of grasses
field of flowers
flowers dancing
flowers open
open to the sun
open to the rain
rain giving life
rain falling softly
softly caressing
softly running
running down
running into
into the living
into the needy
needy
living

This week’s challenge is to write a blitz poem! Here’s how it works:
- Line 1: one short phrase or image (example: build a boat)
- Line 2: another short phrase or image, starting with the same first word as line 1 (build a house)
- Lines 3 & 4: each begin with the last word of line 2 (house for sale, house for rent)
- Lines 5 & 6: each begin with the last word of line 4, and so on — keep repeating this pattern until line 48
- Line 49: just the last word of line 48
- Line 50: just the last word of line 47
- Title: three words long, in the format (first word of line 3) (preposition or conjunction) (first word of line 47)
- No punctuation
