Are you a leader or a follower?

I am both a follower and a leader.

I am a paralegal, so I am the person in the shadows working hard to make sure the attorneys are prepared for court. I have a lot of client contact, but always defer difficult questions to their attorneys. I gather a great deal of information about the clients, victims, and any witnesses in our county and others. I am the man behind the curtain, making Oz look good. I think at work I am a follower.

I believe in my personal life I am a leader. Together with my husband, I have raised three children, and any parent knows that you must be a leader to be a good parent. My husband and I had a relationship that allowed us both to be leaders in our marriage. I had my areas of expertise, he had his. Now that he has passed away, I am the matriarch of our family, and I must continue to love and encourage my children and grandchildren and strive to be an example to them by the way I live my life.
