This is my response to Fibbing Friday! Join in on the fun!
Hello and welcome to Fibbing Friday where I’m inviting you to be outrageous, silly, cheeky, or whatever takes your fancy (as long as you keep it family friendly). Fib your socks off when answering the ten questions set below but remember, truth is not an option, whereas having fun is.
This week our theme is every day items redefined.
We all know what these are, but if we didn’t, how would you describe/explain them?
1. Carpet – A cross between grass and fur you put on the floors of your home to catch spills and food and have to constantly be cleaned
2. Flannel – a fuzzy shirt your boyfriend/husband buys so you can steal it and wear it when you are cold
3. Microwave – a machine that heats up food, but never evenly, so the middle is cold and the outside is toasted
4. Timer – an alert that beeps loudly until someone shouts “The timer’s going off! Mom, the timer’s going off!” and then Mom turns it off
5. Coaster – a round or square piece of wood, ceramic or cloth that is made to be placed under your cup so as to protect the table, but which are never used, leading to water marks everywhere
6. Dish cloth – a piece of material, that, no matter how fresh, always seems drab and wet and is basically unusable
7. Bag – a container made of paper, cloth or plastic that holds stuff. Unless it breaks, which is does
8. Blender – a loud machine that is supposed to pulverize ice and frozen fruit, but instead just makes a lot of noise while its contents sit still until you stir them, over and over
9. Grater – a piece of metal that is made to cut shreds of cheese or vegetables but more often than not cuts a piece of your finger off
10. Peeler – a tool that is made to remove the peel from vegetables like carrots or potatoes, but that no one uses because they prefer a paring knife
