A Little Bit of Everything, With Love

Hi Babe,

I hope this finds you where you are
perhaps sitting on your star
I wanted to tell you – you are missed
in every breath, you are wished
peace and unspeakable joy

Nothing has ever been the same
since a box of ashes with your name
sits on the buffet, quiet and still
I realize now nothing ever will
We were all actors in death’s ploy

We here that are still living have found
that where love and strength abound
we can take all you taught us and live
be here for each other and give
the very best of ourselves for each other

Laughter has made its way back into our days
you would be so proud of the many ways
our children are working, the parents they are
the hearts that they carry, better by far
than we ever were, as father and mother.

You still have my heart, to you I confide
and talk to you as by my side
until I join you in heaven above
you remain my one and only love.
