Melissa is hosting Poetics today at dVerse. She invites us to write poems about life and how we live it, in accordance with quotes by none other than Leo Tolstoy in honor of his birthday.

NO LIMIT
I used to think that love was a concentrated force,
a single point of light laser focused on my heart’s desire,
all the rest of the world was darkness, a void,
not worthy of much consideration
and the universe existed in our hearts, our bodies, in us.
Then we two became three, and love was a prism of light,
streaming out in new directions, never waning in strength but
reaching out and turning into beautiful colors.
And as our universe expanded, so did love grow, with a variation
of feeling and color for each recipient, each unique,
each beloved, and I learned that my heart could contain
the universe and every person I loved, and there was no limit
no limit to how much love a heart can hold.

Beautiful, Lisa. When you have found love with the right person, there is no limit to what you can do together. I know this feeling and you do, too, my friend. ♡
