Clarice was in second grade and they were making a card for Mother’s Day on Friday. When Friday came, she was ready. she taped a few pages of construction paper together and was making a collage with photos. The teacher walked over, “Who is this?”

“My mother, with a shell necklace I made. That’s a dancer, my mom loved to dance. That’s my mom with her parents, and that’s a picture a guy drew of mom at the fair. I’m giving these to my mom for Mother’s Day. We always go to the cemetery.”
