Here Comes The Sunshine

Jim Adams writes: Respond to this Friday Faithfuls challenge by writing anything about the Earth’s spin tilt or orbit, or you could write about the different seasons that we have, or about if you have ever been to a place in the opposite hemisphere, or if you have ever celebrated the summer solstice, or you can go with anything else that you think would fit.

Winters where I live are long and cold and the weather makes life difficult. All I can do is dream about sunshine and warmth and hang on until summer finally arrives. I love the summer solstice, because it is the longest, most sun-filled day of the year, and its arrival is cause for celebration! I know I’m a day late but here is a song about the sun by some gentlemen who need no introduction. If you have time to read Jim Adam’s post, please do. It is excellent. There is a link at the end of this post.

Here comes the sun, doo, dun, doo, doo
Here comes the sun, and I say
It’s all right

Little darling, it’s been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it’s been here

Here comes the sun, doo, dun, doo, doo
Here comes the sun, and I say
It’s all right

Little darling, the smile’s returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been here

Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It’s all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been clear

Here comes the sun, doo, dun, doo, doo
Here comes the sun, and I say
It’s all right

Here comes the sun, doo, dun, doo, doo
Here comes the sun
It’s all right
It’s all right

    1. I don’t know, Nancy. I have been having that same issue myself. When I make a comment on my phone, I don’t have any trouble at all but when I do it on my laptop it asks me to log in. Maybe it’s something to do with something I’m doing. I’ll do a little research on it

  1. George Harrison showcased his songwriting talent with this song, as he blossomed into someone who had the ability to match Lennon and McCartney with this emotionally optimistic song that evokes feelings of joy and warmth.  Thanks for sharing your music, Lisa.
