Would that honeyed lips
Be stripped of warped hallucinations
Some call truth, reality, the way it must be
Open your eyes,
For honesty is a golden box
No evil can deform or break
Or steal what it holds
For the truth inside will shine

Kim from Writing in North Norfolk is hosting the Quadrille challenge. The word is HONESTY
How to Quadrille:
- Write a poem of exactly 44 words, including the word honest.
- Put your poem on your blog and link back to this post.
- Link it up to our Mr. Linky.
- Remember to check the box to accept use/privacy policy.
- Visit other blogs. Enjoy some amazing poets. Comment.
- Come back later this week and write another one, and visit some more. Comment some more.

I agree, Lisa, truth will shine, and we’re letting it shine through poetry. I like these lines especially:
‘…honesty is a golden box
No evil can deform or break’.

Truth has to shine (even sparkle) but alas we cannot even agree on thruth

You are so right, people cannot agree. But that’s the thing about truth, it is true even if someone can’t believe it or see it. And they may never see it.

Truth and honesty don’t always equate.

That’s a good point. Honesty relates to a person’s character, and the truth is factual.
