Truth Will Shine

Would that honeyed lips

Be stripped of warped hallucinations

Some call truth, reality, the way it must be

Open your eyes,

For honesty is a golden box

No evil can deform or break

Or steal what it holds

For the truth inside will shine

  1. I agree, Lisa, truth will shine, and we’re letting it shine through poetry. I like these lines especially:

    ‘…honesty is a golden box
No evil can deform or break’.

    1. You are so right, people cannot agree. But that’s the thing about truth, it is true even if someone can’t believe it or see it. And they may never see it.
