Fibbing Friday

Di at Pensitivity 101 has once again challenged us to answer her questions on Fibbing Friday.

It’s Friday 13th today, so my theme is (loosely) superstition based.
Here are your questions:

1. Who sang “Is This a Kind of Magic?”

Larry Bird sang this song when he beat Magic Johnson for the Rookie of the Year title in 1980
2. Who sang “Somebody’s Watching Me?”

Me, on the way to work with a State Trooper behind me
3. Why do we blow out birthday candles?

Because everyone wants a little kid spit spray on their cake
4. Why do we associate red and green with Christmas?

Red for the blood from the right arm you cut off to pay for presents and green for the money you get from said right arm
5. What do Little Elves supposedly cause?

A lot of trouble at parties. Seriously, they are party animals
6. Why do some people hold their breath when passing near a cemetery?

They don’t want the dead to get jealous that they can still breathe and crawl out of their graves to get revenge
7. Why is finding a penny considered good luck?

It was a government scheme to get people to like pennies again.
8. Why should we not rock an empty rocking chair?

They only like to be rocked if someone’s butt is in their seat
9. Why do people hang Dreamcatchers?

In a vain and misguided hope that they will catch that handsome guy or girl that you dreamed about
10. Why is flipping a loaf of bread unlucky in France?

Because it usually hits the flipper in the face, thereby ruining dinner and causing a bread bruise
