Baby’s Rattle

You are like a baby’s rattle,

Full of color and tinkling sound.

Eyes are drawn to you, irresistible,

Because, suddenly, we have found

A life without your spirit or one without your fire,

A life without you near is nothing we desire.

  1. What V said (above).

This because, while I appreciate poetry, all I can do is hear the melody, as in the distance. Regrettably have no sense of how it is that everyday words can transform each other, simply by the author getting all fourth-grade teacher on ’em (“No, Tommy, you get over two and let Pauline stand in front of Sally…”) lol sorry sometimes I do this in Comments
