Billy has been having transfusions about every 3 weeks now, which is better than every 2. He was feeling really bad on Monday 12/9 and his hemoglobin was 7.2, so he got sent to the hospital for 3 units very late in the day. He didn’t get home until 2:00 am Tuesday morning. At 11:30 am Tuesday morning he called me and said he couldn’t get out of bed! He was chilling and felt horrible. I rushed home. His temp was 100.7 and it wouldn’t go down until about 5:00 pm. Fortunately he didn’t have to go back to the hospital, but he scared me bad. He had a terrible headache, too, which we both believe is from the Transfusion. I pray that never happens again!!
Billy completed round 6 of his Vidaza last week. He goes to get another bone marrow biopsy next Thursday in Indy. The Prednisone has helped his muscles, his CK was down from 6000 to 1000! It has helped him to be able to work on the flip house and feel better all around. Since things have leveled off for him, we don’t hear from the kids as much and I wish they’d call him and offer to help. I know they’re busy. Men aren’t so great about communicating, either.
Got to get back to work…….
