After Round Two

Billy finished round 2 of Vidaza on 8/13. He’s had a total of 3 transfusions, and is getting weaker. He made himself a cane out of a hickory branch and it’s really cool, so that helps him get around. His hemoglobin hasn’t ever got up over 9.5, and it seems to drop a little quicker all the time. Yesterday he and Joanna went to the neurologists office. That doc is going to try and determine why he can’t lift his legs, because that’s been a problem for a long while, before he ever started treatments. He has an MRI scheduled, and some other tests. Joanna has been here since Sat., and she’s leaving today. Yesterday afternoon she and I and Heather went to the first fitting of her wedding gown. It’s so gorgeous, so perfect. It’s classy and classic and sexy all at once.

Jason and Billy went to Ohio in Monday so Billy could buy a 1980 Harley with a sidecar! Billy really wants to be able to ride it so we can have an adventure this summer. He wants to drive it to Maggie Valley. Riding a sidecar is apparently nothing like riding a motorcycle! The sidecar really pulls the bike. I’m hoping he’s strong enough to ride.

Still praying for the Vidaza to work. Still feel like I’m holding my breath, waiting, waiting for him to get better. Sometimes I feel like this can’t be real.

It’s ironic that Joanna and the kids lives are filled with new things, but Billy and I have to focus on the end.

Billy and I have been going to Jason’s church and it’s such a blessing. ❤️ last Sunday, we were all there, all of us together and Rufus, too!!

Better go for now.
