First, the good news. Jason and Janice put an offer on a house in Clay City on Eel River, and it was accepted! Jason will start his first job as full pastor at Faith Southern Baptist Church in Clay City on or about July 21, 2019. Soooo exciting! They have a court hearing on June 28, and hopefully the foster children will get to go home that day. We’re praying!
And more good news!! On June 19, 2019, on their second anniversary of dating, Nick proposed to our beautiful daughter, Joanna and she said yes!! They are hoping to be married in Oct or Nov of this year. We’re frantically searching for a venue and praying!
The bad news is that Billy didn’t get to have his port put in, and still hasn’t started the Vidaza yet. He’s had a cyst on his left shoulder for awhile, and it grew very large and became infected. He’s been treated with antibiotics but it wasn’t getting better. The doctor wouldn’t put in the port because of the infection. Dr. Gallardo won’t start the chemo until the infection is cleared up. A couple days ago Dr. Welch opened up the cyst and cleaned out all the infection. He put a wick into the hole and said Billy has to come back every day until it’s healed from the inside out. Dr. Gallardo said all Billy can have today is a shot of Retacrit. Since Billy has had enormous difficulty raising his legs to walk and raising his arms to put on and take off a T-shirt, Gallardo is referring him to a neurologist. He says it feels like there’s bricks on his feet when he tries to move his legs, and like he’s lifting weights when he raises his arms. What’s going on? Dear Lord, I’ve been praying and praying You would heal Billy, and we don’t care if it’s a miracle or healing from treatments, but it’s so hard to have everything postponed because of an infection. Lord, please help us.
