Billy has had 2 treatments of Retacrit, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference, at least not yet. He had a transfusion of 3 bags of red blood cells, and that helped for a couple of days. Wed. June 19, 2019, he’ll have a port surgically placed and then the Vidaza treatments will start on Thursday. Billy was horrified at the idea of having a port in him for years. Vidaza is actually chemo. I can’t imagine how terrified he must be to start that treatment. No good news.
Joanna came home on Wed. June 5 and stayed until yesterday. She helped Billy at work. His last day was a June 11. She organized a get together on Sat 6-15 to cheer Billy up & for a Fathers Day. Jason came up with his kids, Janice stayed home with the foster kids. Joe and family came, and Rufus, Cindy, Sam, Heather & Max. It was a very nice get together. Jason left at 6 and Joe soon after. Billy was so pale and tired. He went to bed at 7 and slept until after 8 the next morning. We hated to see Joanna go. Billy is going to be spending a lot of time alone, which isn’t good.
Jason hasn’t found a great house in Clay City in his price range. He & Janice are coming up to look at a couple of houses on Tuesday. So much to pray for.
