At April’s End

Billy, Joseph, Rufus and Jason and his oldest foster boy, Dustin, went on their annual camping and kayaking/canoeing trip to Attica and Big Pine Creek. They left Friday morning and returned Saturday evening. As usual, they had big adventures. The creek was up. Billy and Joe went down in the canoe, everyone else had kayaks. Billy said he and Joe flipped in the first big whitewater, and they lost nearly everything on the boat, but then found it all! Somehow Joe lost his keys, so Trisha had to bring a spare to him. They had a great time!

These are some of the pictures the guys took. It’s a beautiful place and they went 4 wheeling at Attica, too. They had a great trip.

Meantime, to alleviate some of the stress on Janice, Jason brought Sophia and Ransom to Terre Haute and I got to watch them Friday and Sat! Trisha and Nora came down Friday night cause they were going to Jenna’s son, Ben’s, Birthday party on Sat. So we had so much fun! Soph, Ransom & I went to the Children’s Museum and the Bouncin Barn Fri. Sat, we all went to St. Mary’s for the Earth Day festival. We saw alpacas, horses and had some good food. Here are some pics:

While we were at St. Mary’s, I showed Ransom & Sophia where their mom went to college. We went into Le Fer Hall, where Janice lived, and I drove them around campus. They weren’t very impressed, but I bet they’ll remember it. When Jason & the kids left Sat evening, Nora cried like her heart was broken. She loves her cousins. Also, all 3 kids slept in the full size bed in the back bedroom and they made it like that all night! I was impressed. Nora said they slept soundly. Sure wish I’d got a pic of them all in bed together, they looked so cute. Sunday Trisha, Nora & I did some shopping and visited. It was a great weekend!

I am so blessed ❤️
